Description
Tangaliya is a unique, traditional weaving technique that originated 700 years ago and is practiced in the rural regions of Gujarat. This exquisite craft is distinguished by its intricate process, where contrasting colored threads are meticulously knotted along the warp and pressed together to create a stunning textured effect of raised dots. Each Tangaliya saree is a labor of love, requiring 30-35 days to weave.
At Indissa, we are proud that Baldev Bhai Rathod, a National Award-winning artisan, and his family weave these exquisite pieces exclusively for us. Their dedication to preserving this rare and extraordinary art form ensures that the beauty and heritage of Tangaliya, a tradition found nowhere else in the world, is celebrated and cherished.
